Trade idea sends Bobby Portis to LA in six-player swap with Miami, Chicago
A proposed three-team trade would send Bobby Portis to the Lakers to shore up their frontcourt behind Walker Kessler and Kevon Looney. Miami would get Jalen Smith, Tre Jones and Jarred Vanderbilt, while Chicago would take on Nikola Jovic and Dalton Knecht.
The pitch leans on Portis's floor-spacing, he hit a career-best 45.6% from three last season, as a fix for a Lakers frontcourt with little shooting.
