Three-team pitch lands Kyrie Irving in Miami, Garland to Dallas
A hypothetical three-team trade would send Kyrie Irving from Dallas to Miami, pairing him with Giannis Antetokounmpo and Bam Adebayo.
The Mavericks would get Darius Garland and a second-round pick, while the Clippers would collect Andrew Wiggins, Davion Mitchell and two first and second-round picks. Miami would trade defense for shooting and shot creation in the deal.
A separate three-team pitch from Heavy would instead send Irving to Detroit to pair with Cade Cunningham, addressing the Pistons' late-game offense. Dallas would get Ron Holland II, Garland and Kris Dunn, while the Clippers would land Jalen Duren and Duncan Robinson in a sign-and-trade.
Marc Stein has reported Dallas is resisting trade calls for Irving, a point Heavy also notes, but rival teams still expect him to become available before the February deadline given the 15-year age gap between Irving and Cooper Flagg.
