Teague pitches Towns-for-Sengun swap with Rockets amid stalled talks

Extension talks between Karl-Anthony Towns and New York have stalled, with Towns eligible for a four-year, $276 million deal per ESPN's Bobby Marks.

Former All-Star Jeff Teague floated trading Towns to Houston for Alperen Sengun on the Club 520 podcast, though he doubted the Knicks would make that deal. Teague also suggested Towns could benefit financially playing in a state with no income tax, naming Houston, Dallas or Florida teams.

ESPN's Shams Charania reports Towns and Josh Hart could become trade candidates if talks stay stalled through the season. Bleacher Report's Andrew Peters pitched Golden State as a fit, with Kristaps Porzingis and draft picks as the likely package centerpiece.

The idea gained traction after Porzingis missed media day amid an unexplained illness, though nothing yet links the two teams beyond the proposal.
