Suns waive Schakel a day after Exhibit 10 signing; Cavs cut McNeil

Phoenix signed guard/forward Jordan Schakel to an Exhibit 10 deal on Wednesday, then waived him Thursday, according to RealGM and NBA.com's transaction logs.

Spotrac's Keith Smith confirmed the contract, which leaves Schakel eligible for a bonus worth up to $91K if he spends 60 days with the G League's Valley Suns. Schakel has been out of the NBA since 2023 after brief stints with Washington, most recently playing overseas in Germany and Belgium.

Separately, Cleveland waived guard Sean McNeil, who had also signed an Exhibit 10 deal. He remains on track for a bonus tied to time with the Cleveland Charge, where he averaged 9.5 points last season.
