Suns add Duop Reath on a one-year minimum deal

Phoenix is signing free agent center Duop Reath, Shams Charania reports for ESPN, though Suns insider Duane Rankin reports the deal is actually a non-guaranteed training camp contract rather than a guaranteed minimum, meaning Reath's roster spot is not assured.

John Gambadoro of 98.7 FM Phoenix adds that Reath fielded several other offers before choosing the Suns.

The move adds center depth alongside Khaman Maluach after Mark Williams faces an extended absence following shoulder surgery. Reath shot .446/.418/.833 last season in a reduced role behind Portland's deepening frontcourt.

If he does not win a standard roster spot, Reath remains eligible for a two-way deal, though Phoenix's three two-way slots are already filled by Koby Brea, Pat Spencer and CJ Huntley.
