Spurs lock in De'Aaron Fox on extension

A trade idea would send De'Aaron Fox to Houston for Fred VanVleet and Jabari Smith Jr., clearing room for Dylan Harper in San Antonio. Another proposal has Myles Turner moving from Milwaukee to the Clippers to open a starting center job for Kel'el Ware.

The Athletic's James Edwards floated De'Aaron Fox as a trade target for Boston on the Celtics Live podcast, alongside longer shots Karl-Anthony Towns and Bam Adebayo. Edwards argued Fox's pace and passing would fit Boston's style, even though he said he is not a big fan of Fox generally.

Spurs fans have been pushing for a De'Aaron Fox trade after Dylan Harper joked he wasn't fine coming off the bench, then walked the comment back on media day.
