Spurs bring in ex-Lakers G League center Malik Williams for camp

Malik Williams has landed on San Antonio's training camp roster after spending last season with the Lakers' G League affiliate, South Bay. He played Summer League for the Chicago Bulls, an early sign his future wasn't with Los Angeles.

The Spurs haven't yet acquired his returning player rights from the Lakers, so another trade could follow if they want to keep him in their developmental system. Across 17 games with South Bay, Williams averaged 14.4 points and 8.7 rebounds while shooting 36.9% from three.
