Sixers keep 2029 pick swap with Clippers despite NBA penalty
Philadelphia will retain its 2029 first-round pick swap with the Clippers, sources told Chris Hine of The Philadelphia Inquirer. The NBA is stripping Los Angeles of five first-round picks from 2029 to 2033 as punishment for cap circumvention.
Instead of touching the Sixers' swap, the league will void the 2029 first-rounder Indiana owes the Clippers from the Ivica Zubac trade. Philadelphia originally landed the swap in the 2023 James Harden deal, and it remains top-three protected.
