Simons, Bona return to partial practice; Barlow still out

Anfernee Simons and Adem Bona took part in limited fashion at Tuesday's practice, according to The Athletic's Tony Jones, while Dominick Barlow sat out with a back issue. Simons has been nursing hamstring tightness and Bona is working back from a foot sprain suffered overseas.

Sixers coach Nick Nurse said he has some hope both Simons and Bona could play Friday's preseason finale against Boston, according to PHLY Sports' Derek Bodner. Barlow, who has missed most of camp with back soreness, has no firm return timeline and is not expected to play that game.

The updates come as Philadelphia navigates its frontcourt depth after Ariel Hukporti's season-ending Achilles injury.
