Sharife Cooper heads back to China after Wizards stint
Sharife Cooper has signed with the Liaoning Flying Leopards of the CBA, according to Dario Skerletic of Sportando.
The guard spent all of 2025/26 on a two-way deal with the Wizards, playing 41 games and averaging 8.1 points and 3.0 assists in 17.1 minutes, but Washington declined to tender a two-way qualifying offer in June, making him an unrestricted free agent.
It is a second stint in Liaoning, where he won the 2024 CBA title. Kyler Edwards has also joined the club, per Skerletic.
