Anthony Davis, Jalen Duren surface in latest trade chatter
Anthony Davis and the Wizards have agreed to hold off on extension talks until the season begins, with one executive calling the negotiation a barometer for aging stars; Davis is eligible for roughly four years and $275M.
Jalen Duren's restricted free agency remains stuck, with the big man seeking a max and Detroit unwilling, after sign-and-trade chatter and qualifying-offer threats failed to move the needle.
Memphis must cut four players from 19 under contract, with a D'Angelo Russell buyout described as all but assured, though Jerami Grant is not expected to be moved this season.
Jake Fischer said on a Bleacher Report stream that Dallas could send Klay Thompson to Miami for Nikola Jovic, with the Mavs wary of Jovic's new four-year, $62M extension.
