Marc Stein of The Stein Line reports that Portland has no interest in signing DeMar DeRozan, who became an unrestricted free agent after being waived by Sacramento.
Stein adds the Blazers do not intend to buy out Jrue Holiday and want to keep him on the roster despite acquiring Ja Morant. Holiday was reported in May to prefer staying in Portland.
DeMar DeRozan told The Athletic's Mirin Fader that Nikola Jokic, Aaron Gordon and Jamal Murray each called to recruit him after he left Sacramento.
+3The Clippers' Kawhi Leonard trade to Toronto is expected to close soon now that the league's cap-circumvention probe has ended with a $700K fine and no suspension for Leonard. Under the original terms, the Clippers would get Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks and other assets back.
Sacramento is stretching what's left of DeMar DeRozan's $10 million salary, Michael Scotto of HoopsHype reports. That leaves him on the Kings' books at roughly $3.33 million a year for the next three seasons. DeRozan signed a one-year deal with Denver last week.
