Porter's Brooklyn salary makes him a stretch trade fit for LA
Bleacher Report's Eric Pincus lists Michael Porter Jr. as an honorable-mention Lakers trade target, behind Julius Randle, PJ Washington, Derrick Jones Jr., De'Andre Hunter and Jarace Walker.
Pincus says Porter's $40.8 million salary makes him prohibitive under the Lakers' first-apron hard cap unless Los Angeles adds multiple players like Vanderbilt, LaRavia, Hardy and Knecht. He also names Orlando's Goga Bitadze, at $7.6 million, as a more attainable target to back up Walker Kessler.
