Pokusevski says an NBA return is 'realistic' at his age
Aleksej Pokusevski told Meridian Sport he still sees a way back to the NBA, pointing to his age as the reason it remains realistic, while conceding he needs to improve, per Eurohoops.
The Serbian forward, the No. 17 pick in 2020, spent three-and-a-half seasons in Oklahoma City before a February 2024 trade to Charlotte, then played for Partizan and signed this month with Lokomotiv Kuban in Russia.
He said his focus for now is playing well enough there or in the EuroLeague to earn the right standing. His representatives talked to several EuroLeague clubs over the summer, including Greek teams, but he prioritized a landing spot with a real role.
Pokusevski also called a Greek passport a logical step, tied to the years he spent living in Greece rather than to basketball.
