Pistons trade pitch sends Robinson, Holland and picks for Murphy
NBA insider Brett Siegel reports that New Orleans still wants roughly three first-round picks plus a young player for Trey Murphy III, and hasn't budged despite trade interest from the Lakers and Warriors as well as a Pistons package floated by Sean Devaney sending Duncan Robinson, Ron Holland II and two future first-rounders (2028, 2030) to pair Murphy with Cade Cunningham.
Bleacher Report's Zach Buckley ranked Murphy as the league's second-highest trade asset entering the season, pointing to his age, three-and-D profile and a team-friendly deal worth about $87 million over the next three years.
Murphy, in year two of a $112 million contract, averaged 21.5 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists last season.
