Pistons sign Paul Reed to multi-year deal

Detroit has locked in Paul Reed's $5.6 million salary for next season, according to Jake Fischer. The move removes any chance the Pistons could waive him before the January 10 guarantee deadline to duck the rest of his pay. Reed made $5.3 million last season on the second year of his two-year deal with Detroit.

Jalen Duren said he's relieved to be back with Detroit after negotiations that at times looked shaky. He called the city home and expressed excitement about staying put.
