Pistons raise Duren offer to 5 years, $200M as Kings, Bucks lurk

Detroit has raised its offer to Jalen Duren to a fully guaranteed five-year, $200 million deal with no team or player options, according to The Athletic's Sam Amick and Hunter Patterson.

That's up $10 million from an August offer of five years, $190 million, and works out to roughly $40 million a year, the annual figure Duren's camp had reportedly been seeking.

The new offer now tops what the restricted free agent could earn by taking a one-year qualifying offer and signing a four-year max deal elsewhere next summer.

Sacramento and Milwaukee both have interest in Duren, per Amick and Patterson, though both could still wait and pursue him next summer instead. Marc Stein reported last week that Duren may simply play out the season on his $9.6 million qualifying offer if no deal gets done by the end of September.
