Pelle Larsson, Heat agree to four-year, $60M extension
Pelle Larsson and Miami have agreed to a four-year, $60 million extension that includes a mutual option for the 2030-31 season, according to ESPN's Shams Charania, with the new money kicking in for the 2027-28 season. The deal has not yet been confirmed by the Heat.
Heat insider Ethan Skolnick told Sports Illustrated's Miami Heat on SI that the extension locks in a dependable rotation piece before a potential breakout season could have driven up his price. Skolnick added the contract could later become a trade chip if Miami pursues another star.
Larsson was set to become a restricted free agent next offseason after starting 54 games last season, averaging 11.4 points and 3.4 assists.
Miami acquired him in a draft-night trade with Houston in 2024, and he's now locked up as the roster shifts with the additions of Giannis Antetokounmpo, Klay Thompson and Tim Hardaway Jr.
