P.J. Washington trade chatter persists in Dallas
Marc Stein reports that although rival teams see P.J. Washington as a trade candidate, new Mavericks basketball boss Masai Ujiri is said to be a fan and Dallas feels no rush, with the forward signed for four more years and $88.8 million guaranteed.
Marc Jacobs had previously described advanced discussions between Dallas and the Lakers involving Washington. A crowded forward group including Santi Aldama, Caleb Martin and rookie Morez Johnson Jr. has fuelled the speculation, but Washington is still projected to start at power forward.
