Nurkic's injury opens door for Hayes to start at center

Jusuf Nurkic was hurt in Utah's preseason opener against Denver and is expected to miss about four weeks, Salt Lake City Tribune's Shreyas Laddha reported. That timeline could cost him roughly the first eight games of the regular season.

Jaxson Hayes, signed by the Jazz this summer on a two-year, $12 million deal reported by ESPN's Tim MacMahon, is set to fill in as the starting center alongside Keyonte George.
