Nuggets add DeMar DeRozan on one-year deal
ESPN's Shams Charania reports the Denver Nuggets are signing DeMar DeRozan to a one-year, $3.9 million contract.
DeRozan, 37, is entering his 17th NBA season after averaging 18.4 points on nearly 50 percent shooting last season and appearing in at least 70 games in each of the past five years. Sacramento waived him this offseason, leaving $10 million guaranteed on a $25.7 million salary for 2026-27.
He joins Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray in Denver, replacing Peyton Watson, who was dealt to Cleveland in a four-team trade, after the Nuggets were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Miami, Washington and New Orleans also pursued DeRozan, but Miami prioritized signing Klay Thompson instead.
