Nets' Mikel Brown Jr. nearing return from ankle sprain

Nets rookie Mikel Brown Jr. is expected to make his preseason debut Wednesday against Miami, New York Post reporter Brian Lewis said. The sixth overall pick has been out since late September with a sprained left ankle but went through full practices over the weekend.

He will sit out Monday's game against Washington but is on track for the Heat matchup. Elsewhere, Paul George made his Celtics debut alongside Jayson Tatum in Boston's preseason win over Philadelphia, and Raptors rookie Collin Murray-Boyles-adjacent forward Allen Graves is drawing praise in camp despite a groin injury.
