Myers on the Brown trade: 'we needed an edge'
Sixers president Bob Myers described how the Jaylen Brown trade came together, saying the process turned serious once Brad Stevens asked what Philadelphia was offering, then ran through roughly 50 conversations without either side leaking.
Speaking on the 'Cousins' podcast, Myers said he wanted Brown's leadership and edge, and told him the day after the deal to lean on being a champion. He added that the trade paved the way for the LeBron James signing.
