Murray sits out, Haliburton's ankle MRI clean, Bryant rolls ankle

Dejounte Murray missed Pelicans practice with a toe contusion, with coach Jamahl Mosley calling the approach precautionary. Tyrese Haliburton tweaked his right ankle in his season debut but an MRI came back clean, and coach Rick Carlisle called it a mild tweak.

Spurs forward Carter Bryant rolled his ankle against Phoenix and was ruled out for the rest of that game, though reporter Jeff McDonald does not believe it is serious. Mavericks big men Santi Aldama and Dereck Lively II remain out recovering from surgeries, and guard Marcus Sasser is dealing with adductor soreness.
