Warriors eye Trey Murphy as Pelicans crowd their wing rotation

Golden State's pursuit of Trey Murphy is cast as more realistic now that New Orleans is working to add Bennedict Mathurin, which would squeeze the Pelicans' wing minutes alongside Herb Jones and Jordan Poole.

New Orleans reportedly asked for four first-round picks for Murphy last February and has since dropped its price to three.

One unnamed executive argued the Pelicans should be patient and only deal Murphy for the right return, while Mike Dunleavy Jr. has said the Warriors are ready to move midseason as they did for Jimmy Butler.
