Multi-team pitch sends Sabonis to Toronto, Poeltl to Sacramento

A four-team trade pitch from Bleacher Report's Dan Favale would send Domantas Sabonis to Toronto. R.J. Barrett would go to Charlotte, preserving the Hornets' LaMelo Ball trade exception.

Sacramento would get back Jakob Poeltl, Royce O'Neale and Tidjane Salaün plus multiple draft picks. The Clippers would take on Pat Connaughton's salary for a second-round pick. Favale argues Sabonis would boost Toronto's rebounding and offense while Kawhi Leonard is out.

The move comes as Barrett's camp reportedly has had no substantive extension talks with the Raptors on a deal that could reach $185.6 million over four years.

Bleacher Report's Jake Fischer has separately reported Sabonis' contract is seen as a net negative around the league, though Sacramento wants real value before dealing him. Two years and $94.1 million remain on his deal, a number complicated by a 19-game season.
