McBride tipped to leave Knicks as Shamet takes his minutes

The Athletic's James L. Edwards III predicts Miles McBride won't be back with New York next season, citing the team's cap limits and coach Mike Brown's growing trust in Landry Shamet.

McBride led Knicks reserves in minutes last season at 26.3 per game, but Shamet has closed that gap in the playoffs and preseason. Edwards did not report the Knicks are shopping McBride, only that his expiring deal and the team's finances make a return unlikely.
