Magic hopeful on Black extension but cap space is tight

Anthony Black can sign a rookie scale extension through October 19, and he says he isn't stressing the deadline either way.

President of basketball operations Jeff Weltman told Jason Beede of The Orlando Sentinel the Magic are hopeful but working in tighter financial quarters than in past years. If no deal gets done, Black would become a restricted free agent in 2027 pending a qualifying offer.
