Lakers stay cold on P.J. Washington despite Doncic ties
Lakers reporters Jacob Rude and Khobi Price say Los Angeles remains uninterested in trading for Mavericks forward P.J. Washington, largely because of the $88.8 million he's owed over four seasons. Washington was a Doncic teammate in Dallas, but that history hasn't moved the Lakers off their stance this offseason.
NBA insider Jake Fischer said he hasn't heard of teams targeting Washington lately, noting Daniel Gafford has drawn far more trade interest, though a deal could resurface if Dallas cools its asking price closer to the deadline.
