Ziaire Williams explains why he picked Lakers over other suitors
Ziaire Williams told Benjamin Royer of The Southern California News Group he signed a one-year minimum deal with the Lakers because of the fit as a versatile wing, not just because it brought him home to the Los Angeles area.
Williams said he would have taken the same opportunity in New Orleans or Milwaukee, but playing near his hometown of Lancaster in front of family was 'the cherry on top.' He added that his early talks with coach JJ Redick and Rob Pelinka have centered on his defense, particularly as a point-of-attack stopper.
