Kyrie back to Boston, Butler to Dallas in three-team trade idea
A hypothetical three-team deal would send Kyrie Irving from Dallas to Boston, with the Mavericks taking back Jimmy Butler, Baylor Scheierman and first-rounders in 2028 (via Golden State), 2031 and 2033 (via Boston). Golden State would land Derrick White and P.J. Washington in the same idea.
Dallas has so far pushed back on interest in Irving: insider Brett Siegel said Detroit and Minnesota both called early in free agency and were told he is not available. ESPN's panel of insiders still ranked Irving second among stars most likely to request a trade.
