Knicks can extend McBride and still keep him trade-eligible
New York Post reporter Stefan Bondy corrected an earlier report, saying Miles McBride can sign an extension worth roughly three years and $55 million while remaining trade-eligible this season.
Because his current salary sits below the league average, Bondy explained the trade-eligible extension can start as high as 120% of that average figure. That removes what looked like a binary choice for the Knicks between rewarding McBride now and preserving his trade value.
