Kleber linked to Doncic-owned Roma SPQR after Lakers exit

Free agent big man Maxi Kleber is drawing serious interest from BC Roma, the new Italian club founded by Luka Doncic and Donnie Nelson, according to Marc Stein. The 34-year-old German center enters Serie A and the EuroCup with hopes of eventually joining NBA Europe, and signing Kleber would be a headline addition.

Kleber finished a three-year, $33 million contract with the Lakers this past season and remains unsigned by any NBA team, having averaged 2.0 points and 1.9 rebounds in limited bench minutes for Los Angeles.
