Kings add Alex Karaban

Cleveland traded Alex Karaban to Sacramento in exchange for Meleek Thomas and a 2032 second-round pick, per the official transaction record. A straight swap of young players with a distant pick attached.

Sacramento signed wing Trhae Mitchell to a training camp contract, per Paul Garcia of The Spot Up Shot. The 29-year-old went undrafted in 2020 and has spent most of his career in the G League, including last season with New Orleans' Birmingham Squadron.

Sacramento has waived guard Sean East II and big man Viktor Lakhin, both on Exhibit 10 contracts. Both are expected to land with the Stockton Kings for the G League season. The move leaves Sacramento at 19 roster players, with one open standard spot and one two-way spot remaining.
