Kevin Love trending toward a Timberwolves reunion, insiders say
NBA insider Brett Siegel says a Kevin Love return to Minnesota looks more likely than not, calling him a fit to mentor Anthony Edwards and LaMelo Ball.
Wolves insider Jon Krawczynski reports Love is open to coming back and that the front office has some interest too, with Minnesota's open 15th roster spot seen as a possible landing point for a veteran like Love.
Heavy.com's Sean Jordan, of the Heat Roundtable, suggests Love could instead fill Miami's own open 15th roster spot as a mentor with limited playing time. Love spent parts of three seasons with the Heat before playing last season in Utah, averaging 6.7 points and 5.8 rebounds in 42 games.
Jordan notes Minnesota, where Love began his career, is also said to have interest in bringing him back after trading Julius Randle and Naz Reid. Nothing is signed, but momentum toward some form of reunion is described from multiple sides.
