Kevin Love, Kelly Olynyk and Gabe Vincent named as Knicks minimum options
New York is holding its 14th roster spot open and waiting for training-camp cuts to shake veterans loose, Brett Siegel said on ClutchPoints' "Clutch Scoops."
The plan is a minimum contract for whoever becomes available, the way Jordan Clarkson landed there last season, with Kevin Love, Kelly Olynyk and Gabe Vincent all mentioned as names still on the market.
With a payroll of $218.2 million sitting $3.4 million under the second apron, and owner James Dolan having ruled out crossing it, cheap is the only option. The Knicks have already added Jose Alvarado, Landry Shamet and Andre Drummond while losing Mitchell Robinson.
