Kawhi trade, Harden and Mathurin deals still await paperwork
The Clippers' Kawhi Leonard trade to Toronto is expected to close soon now that the league's cap-circumvention probe has ended with a $700K fine and no suspension for Leonard. Under the original terms, the Clippers would get Brandon Ingram, Gradey Dick, two unprotected first-round picks and other assets back.
Separately, James Harden's three-year, $97M deal with Cleveland, Bennedict Mathurin's two-year, $16M contract with New Orleans, and DeMar DeRozan's one-year deal with Denver all remain unsigned as those teams sort out tax-apron and roster math.
Analyst Luke Adams suggested Cleveland may need Harden to take slightly less than reported, while New Orleans likely needs a cost-cutting move before Mathurin can officially sign.
