Jones Jr. floated as Lakers' Doncic-reunion trade target
Fansided's Mat Issa pitched a deal sending LaRavia, Dalton Knecht and three second-round picks to the Clippers for Derrick Jones Jr. The idea leans on Jones having played alongside Luka Doncic in Dallas and on the Clippers needing draft capital after losing five first-round picks in penalties.
Lakers Nation's Trevor Lane separately suggested L.A. could instead wait and sign Jones in free agency next summer using the midlevel exception. Jones is in the final year of his deal and isn't expected to get an extension from the Clippers.
