Jokic says he'll sign with Denver 'if they want me'

Nikola Jokic again passed on an extension this offseason, positioning himself for a projected five-year, $359.5 million deal in 2027. NBA insider John Hollinger reports Denver has 'justifiable paranoia' that the roster's weaknesses could push Jokic elsewhere.

Jokic told reporters he has spoken with Ben Tenzer, Jon Wallace and Josh Kroenke about his willingness to re-sign, though he added the caveat 'if they want me.' He is currently in the middle of a five-year, $276 million supermax deal with a $62.8 million player option for 2027-28.
