Irving, Thompson trade chatter swirls amid LeBron contract talk

Marc Stein reports Dallas has turned away trade inquiries on Kyrie Irving and expects him to open next season with the Mavericks as he completes his ACL recovery.

Klay Thompson is the one they would rather move, with Stein saying the Mavs prefer a trade even as Miami hopes he reaches free agency through a buyout. Thompson has one year and $17.5 million left on his deal.
