Kyrie Irving would return to Boston for Derrick White package

Irving is floated as heading back to the Celtics, with Dallas taking Derrick White, Baylor Scheierman, a 2031 first-rounder and a 2031 second. The argument is that Boston's window with Jayson Tatum is open now while the Mavericks build around Cooper Flagg.

ESPN's Tim MacMahon has written that a trade market conversation may eventually make sense, though Dallas is currently excited about Irving's return from injury. Brett Siegel reported the Pistons and Timberwolves called about Irving early in free agency and were told he is not available.
