Horry calls Kessler, not Doncic, the key to Lakers' title hopes
Robert Horry says new Lakers center Walker Kessler is the real key to the team's title chances this season, not Luka Doncic or Austin Reaves.
Kessler signed a four-year, $129.5 million deal to replace Deandre Ayton as the starter after missing most of last season in Utah following shoulder surgery.
Horry, speaking on ESPN's Mason & Ireland Show, said Los Angeles hasn't had a big who blocks shots and pops out for threes like that since Anthony Davis, but questioned how much rust Kessler carries after such a long layoff.
The Lakers are also reportedly still hunting for a backup big given how little Kessler and Kevon Looney played last season.
