Heat sign Simone Fontecchio

Per the official transaction log, Detroit traded Simone Fontecchio to Miami in exchange for Duncan Robinson. The Heat also picked up a trade exception in the deal. A straight wing-for-wing swap, already done.

The Heat are signing guard Lester Quinones, Miami Herald reporter Barry Jackson reports, citing agent Scott Nichols. It's an Exhibit 10 deal, with Quinones competing for a two-way spot.

Norman Powell told reporters at Chicago's media day he isn't dwelling on trade speculation tied to his contract structure. Powell signed a two-year, $45 million deal with a team option for year two, a structure that could make him a deadline chip later.
