Heat scouting exec Eric Amsler departs for Lakers front office
Eric Amsler is leaving Miami's front office to become an assistant general manager with the Lakers, ESPN's Shams Charania reported. He spent more than 22 years with the Heat, rising from intern to vice president of player personnel and Sioux Falls Skyforce general manager.
In Los Angeles he'll work under Rob Pelinka alongside assistant GM Rohan Ramadas. The move comes as Miami reshapes its roster around newly acquired Giannis Antetokounmpo and operates under a hard cap at the first apron.
