Heat insider says Cam Thomas doesn't fit Miami's last roster spot

Heat insider Ira Winderman reports that free agent guard Cam Thomas isn't a target for Miami's final open roster spot, arguing a contender needs complementary role players rather than a high-usage scorer.

Thomas, 24, was waived by Brooklyn and briefly played for Milwaukee before being cut again, and remains unsigned. Miami reportedly prefers a table-setting guard over another scorer for that last spot.
