Grizzlies formalize Cooper two-way deal, waive Lovering
Memphis has officially signed Carson Cooper to a two-way contract, months after the agreement was first reported. The undrafted Michigan State big averaged 11.5 points and 7.1 rebounds as a senior and will earn $678,882 this season.
Lawson Lovering was waived to open the roster spot and is expected to land with the G League's Memphis Hustle. Cooper fills the Grizzlies' third and final two-way slot alongside Javon Small and Jahmai Mashack.
