Green says he nearly forced a sign-and-trade to Memphis
Draymond Green said on his podcast that he once told the Warriors he wanted to leave for Memphis. He said the Grizzlies' offer was roughly $10 million a year more than Golden State's, prompting him to push for a sign-and-trade.
Green said the Warriors entered talks with Memphis but adjusted their own offer, which convinced him they wanted him to stay. He ultimately re-signed with Golden State on a four-year, $100 million deal instead of joining Memphis.
