Fan pitch would swap Reaves for Amen Thompson, but Buha is skeptical
A listener on Jovan Buha's podcast floated trading Austin Reaves to Houston for Amen Thompson, who signed a five-year, $208 million extension this offseason. Buha called it interesting but said the Lakers' bar for moving Reaves is high, noting they already turned down a Kyrie Irving deal built around him.
He added that any Reaves trade would likely need to bring back an outright upgrade plus draft capital rather than multiple pieces. Buha also questioned whether Houston would even consider trading Thompson for Reaves.
