Embiid to Houston, Durant to Philadelphia in a two-MVP trade idea

A trade idea has Houston sending Kevin Durant and Clint Capela to Philadelphia for Joel Embiid plus second-round picks in 2027 and 2032.

The pitch: Embiid joins Alperen Sengun and Steven Adams in a huge Rockets frontcourt, while Durant slots in alongside Jaylen Brown, Tyrese Maxey and LeBron James in a crowded Sixers offense.

Embiid is five years younger than the 37-year-old Durant, and all current signs point to Durant staying in Houston.

Embiid-for-Davis swap would reunite Davis with LeBron, but is called a long shot

Swapping Joel Embiid for Anthony Davis would put Davis back alongside LeBron James, though the idea is framed as unlikely. The Wizards, by all accounts, have no desire to move Davis, and there are further complications beyond that.
