Edwards likely to wait until 2027 for super-max talks with Wolves

Anthony Edwards missed the 65-game minimum needed for All-NBA eligibility last season, so he can't reach super-max status until he makes an All-NBA team in 2027, per ESPN's Brian Windhorst.

Windhorst said Edwards is pleased with Minnesota's offseason, including landing LaMelo Ball and completing the Jonathan Kuminga deal, but any extension talks likely wait until next summer.

Separately, the Timberwolves are hiring Daniel Brady as an assistant coach under Chris Finch, according to HoopsHype's Michael Scotto.
